Aims of Qualifications

The new BTEC Advanced Award in Local Government Management not only enables candidates to achieve a national management qualification, it also offers a valuable introduction to the full Certificate.

Within a short (30 hour) programme, candidates can now experience the convenience and flexibility of e-learning and – importantly - have the units they achieve count towards the full Advanced Certificate. There is no requirement for candidates to achieve the Award before registering on the full Certificate programme.

The principal aims of the Award and Certificate qualifications are to:
